Preparation of Teachers (School Instructor Seminar)

A pilot of the updated School Instructor course (Preparation of Teachers) was held online 16-18 April.

30 participants from all over the world, many of them experts in educational chess, took part in order to assess the program and provide feedback to improve it before it goes ‘live.’ The continents were represented as follows: Africa 7, Americas 6, Asia 8, Europe 9.

9 of the 30 were female. 27 of the 30 tested the exam (requiring a 65% pass mark) and 19 of them passed, including all but one of the females.

Those who did not achieve the required 65% were mostly defeated by the English language. We expect that by the end of this year, we will have increased the range of languages to three or four.
