Online meeting with Iranian representatives of chess in education
May 26, 2020 – FIDE EDU commission chairman Smbat Lputian held an online meeting with Iranian representatives of the field Mr. Seyed Mostafa Hashemi Taba (Director of Tehran State Chess College and member of FIDE’s EDU Commission) and Mr. Mohammadnaghi Ebrahimzadeh (Chess Trainer at the Iranian Chess Federation), where they discussed ongoing activities in the chess education field.
Mr. Seyed Mostafa and Mr. Mohammadnaghi expressed their great interest in teacher training and a readiness to incorporate chess into the Iranian education system. A visit to Armenia with a representative of the Ministry of Education of Iran is planned, to get acquainted with the work carried out in the field and to find new efficient ways of active and fruitful cooperation.
