Chess in Education Research

Welcome to our new section on educational chess research.

There has been a huge amount of research in this field, albeit much of it is criticised for failing standard scientific method (control group, pre and post assessment, etc.). Nonetheless, it is useful.

Some of the most important are the following:

Aghuzumtsyan & Poghosyan, (2014) The Impact of Chess Lessons … https://cloud.fide.com/s/XSsZzj7wSY2BdT7

Nicotera et al. (2014) Review of Chess Studies https://cloud.fide.com/s/E9xc7BCpsmsogtP

Articles published in international journals: https://cloud.fide.com/s/bDCc6kRAHQSFWoP

For historical research (1907-2002) Ferguson Chess and Learning: An Annotated Bibliography  https://cloud.fide.com/s/E9xc7BCpsmsogtP

See also the many articles published in the proceedings of the Conferences (see Best Practice: Armenia & the links to Conferences).
